Welcome to our school
Charter Academy opened this September replacing St Luke’s CE School.
Our expectations of every student are high and our resolve is strong: we believe that every child should fulfil his or her full potential and we will do all we can to enable them to do so.
As Principal, my commitment is that every pupil’s educational journey with us will be positive and enriching. We will provide:
- High quality teaching and learning
- A curriculum that supports individual needs and offers opportunities for individual acceleration
- Regular assessment that allows you to follow your child's progress
- A programme of high quality enrichment classes across academic, arts and sports
- Educational visits, residential trips and experiences to strengthen learning and teamwork
- Specialist status in mathematics and the performing arts that offers wide opportunities to every student
We are a specialist Mathematics and Performing Arts academy. The academy has a Christian ethos and our pupils come from all faiths and none and we value all students regardless of faith. Our curriculum reinforces the importance of morality.
At Charter we believe that every student should learn in a safe, secure and happy community founded on mutual respect. We are determined that every one of our pupils should fulfil their potential and we won’t accept or make excuses for underachievement.
To achieve this, we need your commitment too. Parents need to ensure that pupils attend school, on time, in full uniform and with good intentions. Together, we can then create the partnership that will help your child to succeed.
