Year 6 to 7 Transition Days

Transitioning to secondary school is a significant milestone in your child's educational journey. It's essential to start preparing early to ensure a smooth and confident move. To support this transition, we are excited to host two transition days with primary schools on Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th June 2026. These days will provide pupils with a taster of secondary school life, helping them to feel more comfortable and familiar with their new environment.

If your child has been offered a place at Ark Charter Academy, please make sure to accept this offer with Portsmouth City Council. You can do so by visiting the following link: Portsmouth City Council Admissions.

Once you have accepted the place, look out for an email from Applicaa with information on how to complete the Admissions Form using the portal. This form will help us gather all the necessary information before your child starts with us. If you have not received this information, please contact Sally Turner via s.turner@charteracademy.org.uk urgently.

We look forward to welcoming your child to Ark Charter Academy and supporting them through this exciting transition!

We would also like to invite you and your child to our  Welcome Evening on Monday 29th June at 2.30pm. This is a great opportunity to ask any questions and meet other new families. Students will be brought down to parents at 3pm where you can then queue for the uniform fitting.
