We were so happy to invite into school David Sanders - President of Rotary Club Portsmouth and Southsea, and Caroline Watkin, to be the Judges of our First Give Final, along with Mrs Ward and Ms Prokop.
The students have been working for months on presentations about local charities and raising awareness for the good work they do. The winning team were lucky enough to have an amazing £1000 donated to their chosen charity - The Lighthouse. Well done to Mrs Thomas and her tutor group 9Tut5!
Mrs Thomas said “I am so proud of the hard work that 9-5 put in as a team to win the competition. Their passion for the charity and the project was clear throughout the entire process. They may not have been the strongest presenters but the social action and subsequent impact on them and their charity was clear for all to see.”
We were impressed by the student’s dedication and work. They all demonstrated our school values of Compassion and Respect brilliantly.
