Year 10 GCSE Students recently got the opportunity to work with London director and actor Phillip Morriss.
They were treated to industry discussion and workshops, help and guidance on their GCSE devising process and were able to ask him anything… and they did! The two-hour workshop gave the cohort the opportunity to develop their Component 1 Devised Performance with the industry professional.
They played games to help with the devising process, listened and discussed the creative ideas for their performances and were led through an artistic development of concepts using questions about questions.
It was a fascinating and enriching experience for the students who were taken out of their comfort zone and pushed themselves imaginatively to some surprising lengths!
